Physical Therapy
Physical therapy is a dynamic healthcare profession focused on restoring movement and function for individuals affected by injury, illness, or disability. It involves a comprehensive approach that includes evaluation, diagnosis, and hands-on treatment, empowering patients to manage their condition and prevent future problems.
Our skilled therapists utilize Adhesion Release Methods (ARM) and Active Release Techniques (ART) to target and break down adhesions in muscles, tendons, and entrap nerves that can cause pain and limit mobility. We also employ Graston/Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, using specially designed instruments to effectively detect and treat areas of soft tissue dysfunction and scar tissue.

Diagnostic Evaluation
Our process starts with a thorough diagnostic evaluation, going far beyond acursory check of your symptoms. We take the time to listen to your history, understand your daily challenges, and perform a detailed hands-on assessment of your movement patterns, posture, strength, and the specific mechanics of the affected area. This meticulous detective work allows our experienced physical therapists to pinpoint the true root cause of your issue – whether it’s a hidden adhesion, a subtle joint restriction, muscle imbalance, or nerve involvement. By identifying the underlying problem, we can develop a truly effective, targeted treatment plan instead of just providing temporary symptom relief.

Pain Relief
Our specialized manual therapy techniques are directly aimed at addressing the physical restrictions and tissue dysfunction that are often the root cause of pain. Through the skilled application of Adhesion Release Methods (ARM) and Active Release Techniques (ART), our therapists work to identify and break down painful adhesions and scar tissue within muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Similarly, Graston/Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization utilizes specialized tools to effectively locate and treat fascial restrictions and tissue fibrosis. By releasing these limitations, these hands-on methods reduce tension, improve tissue mobility, decrease inflammation, and restore proper mechanics, leading to a significant reduction in or complete elimination of pain and discomfort, allowing you to move more freely.

I have been seeing Melissa for years. She has helped me through countless running related issues but also helps me stay generally strong and balanced as I “mature.” I can’t say enough about Peak Action … it isn’t your typical PT but provides individualized treatments using intuitive and novel modalities. All the staff are kind and helpful, which is an added bonus!
